Secretive Bilderberg Group Set to Meet Amid Italian Turmoil

Bilderberg Group Meets June 7 thru 10 in Turin, Italy

The 2018 meeting of the secretive Bilderberg Group is set to meet in Turin, Italy, June 7 through 10, just a few days from now. Every year, between 120-150 political leaders and experts from industry, finance, academia and the media are invited to take part in the meeting. About two thirds of the participants come from Europe and the rest from North America. One third of the invitees “are from politics and government and the rest from other fields”. The meeting is a forum for informal discussions about megatrends and major issues facing the world. All of this is according to the official website of the organization (links below).

The meetings are held under the Chatham House Rule, which states that participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) nor of any other participant may be revealed.

Despite the involvement of participants from the political arena, what takes place in the meetings are kept secret. As stated on the Bilderberg website, “[t]he meetings are held under the Chatham House Rule, which states that participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) nor of any other participant may be revealed.” The justification provided is that the “private nature” of the meetings frees the participants from the the “conventions of their office or by pre-agreed positions”, thus allowing them to take time to listen, reflect and gather insights.

Therefore, the press is prohibited from the meeting, with the exception of those members of the press who are invited to participate. Then, however, they would be restricted by the Chatham House Rule from ever reporting, or otherwise revealing, what transpires at this secretive meeting of political and industrial leaders. Therefore creating a conflict for, or at least calling into question the reliability and trustworthiness of, any member of the media invited to participate. Have any of your favorite news reporters ever been invited?

Bilderberg Meeting Occurs Amid Italian Turmoil

While Turin, Italy (Provincia Di Torino) seems like a beautiful place, it’s difficult to ignore the political and economic turmoil that Italy is currently in. Italy has been without a government since national elections on March 4th ended in a hung parliament. The populist (i.e. anti-European Union) prime-minister-in-waiting, Giuseppe Conte, resigned yesterday after the sitting pro-EU president, Sergio Mattarella, refused to accept Conte’s nomination for finance minister, Paolo Savona.

Savona is an 81-year-old former industry minister who has called Italy’s entry into the euro a “historic mistake”, according to a recent article by The Guardian (linked below). The leader of one populist party has called for the impeachment of President Mattarella for the move and crisis may, once again, bring into question the viability of the EU. Another leader has stated that the only option was to hold another election, probably later this year.

Is it coincidence or are the Bilderbergers up to something?

It should be noted that Bilderberg held its 2008 meeting in Chantilly, Virginia. Per tradition, that meeting was also held in June. While the 2008 Bilderberg Meeting was being held, then U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama apparently ditched his press core (apparently leaving them sitting in a plane on the tarmac at Dulles) to make an unscheduled appearance at the meeting, along with his opponent for the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton (see links below).

Later that year, Obama and his Republican opponent, Senator John McCain, both set aside their campaigning to participate in bipartisan congressional action to commit the U.S. taxpayers to a bailout of the too-big-to-fail banks that had engaged in risky speculation and outright fraud. Is it possible that Italy was chosen because the globalists want to put their chess pieces in place to influence the outcome of another Italian election later this year and the new government that will come out of it?

According to the Bildergberg official website, a list of topics and participants will be issued a few days before the meeting.
