Turkey, Dressing and Bitcoin

Another Thanksgiving break has come and gone in America, but apparently not before another crop of college students deposited some knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on their elders. In just the last week, Bitcoin has blasted through the $8,000 and $9,000 marks. Litecoin has shot up from $65 per token and shot through the $90 mark as of this posting. Apparently, Bitcoin and the blockchain featured prominently in conversation between the helpings of turkey and dressing at Thanksgiving dinners across the USA.

MSM and the Bitcoin Threat to the Status Quo

To watch the mainstream media, one might think that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are just about digital payments and that their exploding values are just another tech bubble waiting to pop. But the emerging cryptosphere and the underlying distributed ledger architecture have implications far beyond how people pay for things. The distributed ledger and its ability to create “trustless” transactions has the potential to create seismic shifts in how human society functions.

This threatens the status quo owners and benefactors of establishment media. That’s why it’s important for you to seek news and information outlets for Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptosphere that are not beholden to establishment interests, if you want reliable information. As someone who has been watching this area since around 2013 – and yes I’ve made a couple of bucks off of what I’ve learned – I can say that the mainstream media is a wholly inadequate source of information on the subject.

Actually, that’s being nice. The mainstream media is a cesspool of charlatans peddling disinformation for the purposes of keeping humanity ignorant and enslaved. That’s why the Political News Report was created. So in the interests of sharing useful information that may help you get free, here are three people who I have found to be extremely valuable in my cryptosphere learning curve. Links to each are provided at the end of the article.

The Big Three

Keiser Report

Technically this is two people, but RT’s Keiser Report, hosted by Max Keiser and Stacey Herbert, is what you might call a gateway news and information resource for Bitcoin and the cryptosphere. Keiser Report is a half-hour daily show started in 2009 that is presented in a traditional cable news show format. But unlike the typical, uncritical fawning over our corrupt financial institutions, like you normally see on CNBC and other television money and finance shows, Max and Stacey aren’t afraid to question the status quo.

More importantly, Keiser Report regularly features guests on the cutting edge of finance and technology, all the while mixing plenty of humor in their presentation. I first learned about Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, the blockchain and the distributed ledger by watching this show, which has also exposed me to other valuable sources in this area, as well. Keiser Report is a great starting point and an entertaining way to keep abreast as this new technology unfolds.

Arcane Bear

According to their mission statement, The Arcane Bear “exists to share knowledge on all levels”. The Arcane Bear is appears to be branching out into consulting and advertising services. But their value to the Bitcoin newbie is their free analysis on their YouTube channel. They also have a Resource section that provides information on how to buy bitcoin and reviews of different cryptocurrency wallets.

They can be a bit technical for the uninitiated, but once you’ve started to grasp the basics of cryptocurrency (maybe after watching some Keister Report) it’s a worthy step to broaden your horizons and get some excellent analysis, especially when there’s a big move in the cryptomarkets. What they say might sound a bit woo-woo at times, but they have a strong track record in reading the cryptocurrency tea leaves.

Half Past Human

Former technical troubleshooter for Microsoft, Cliff High, uses “computer software to aggregate vast amounts of written text from the internet by categories delineated by emotional content of the words and using the result to make forecasts based on the emotional ‘tone’ changes within the larger population,” according to his website at HalfPastHuman.com. This process, which Mr. High has dubbed “predictive linquistics”, is used to forecast emerging “global population trends”.

Mr. High publishes regular reports on the results of this analysis that can be purchased on the website for $99.00 a piece. This author has not personally purchased any of his reports, but Cliff High predicted $13,000 bitcoin by February 2018 back in June of this year. It was still in the mid $2,000 range at that time and it looks like his prediction is going to come true. He can also be a bit difficult to follow for newbies, but you can definitely learn by listening.

All three have YouTube channels that can be accessed through their respective websites which are listed below.
