Now to the topic of this video.

When I was boy, I remember the grown-ups say that they all remembered where they were, what they were doing when they heard the news that President Kennedy had been shot.

I never expected that I would, someday, have a similar account of my own. It goes without saying, none of us who were around on September 11, 2001 will ever forget that fateful day.

Since that time, “never forget” has been a recurring theme invoked around the 9-11 anniversary. To me that phrase always suggested that all Americans must support merciless and brutal subjugation of those deemed enemies of the mighty U.S. empire, including those who may question the official story of what transpired that day, as well as the erosion of our rights and our liberty for the promise of security, and the growing police state within our borders.

To quote the late critical thinker and comedian, George Carlin:
“Do I believe in conspiracies? Nah. Do I believe powerful people would get together and plan for certain outcomes? Nah. Do I believe powerful interests would operate outside the law, maybe even kill people? Nah. Do I believe that secret government agencies might feel the need to assassinate a person and cover it up. Nah. I think everything in America is open, clean, and above board, and powerful people always play by the rules.”

University of Alaska Study Regarding the Collapse of World Trade Center 7

Well, according to a recently released draft study by the Institute of Northern Engineering at the University of Alaska, the official explanation of 9-11, or at least the part concerning the collapse of the THIRD skyscraper that came down that day, that being World Trade Center 7, should be questioned. While the mainstream media has basically ignored the study, several of the so-called alternative media outlets have been reporting this story over the last few days. I call them the real news media, but that’s a subject for a different time.

Before we take a closer look at that study, let’s do a brief recap of the official account of what transpired on 9-11.

Brief Summary of Official 9-11 Story

According to the official explanation of 9-11, 19 men armed with box-cutters managed to overwhelm the crew and passengers of four jet-airliners on the morning of September 11, 2001. The highjackers flew two of the high-jacked airliners into World Trade Center towers 1 and 2 in Manhattan, New York. The fires caused by the collision of the airliners into the towers, again into just towers 1 and 2, cut through some of the buildings’ support columns and also started internal fires. The fires caused the steel frame of the towers to weaken, ultimately resulting in total failure of each structure.

As a result, 104 stories of concrete and steel times two, collapsed into their respective footprints in under 12 seconds each. 104 stories of concrete and steel, including office furniture and equipment, along with 3,000 lives, turned to dust that covered Lower Manhattan that morning. All, supposedly, due to fires that burned hot enough to weaken steel support columns of skyscrapers designed to withstand the impact of a jet airliner, and despite the fact that neither jet fuel nor office fires can burn hot enough to melt steel.

Several hours later, the 47-story World Trade Center 7, which was not hit by any planes, also imploded into its own foot print in a matter of seconds. According to the official explanation, that building was struck by debris from the collapse of WTC towers 1 and 2, which triggered internal office fires that, again according to the official explanation and for the first time in recorded history, burned hot enough to eventually weaken the steel frame of the building and cause a near-simultaneous failure of all support columns so it could also collapse into its own footprint like a controlled demolition.

University of Alaska Study Challenges Official NIST Determination on WTC 7

This is the official video released by the National Institute of Standards and Technology or “NIST”, which is the agency that was charged with investigating and provided us with the office-fire theory for the collapse of World Trade Center tower 7. The first few (27) seconds gives us real footage from the collapse of this 47-story building.

The University of Alaska study is 126 pages long and I’m sure it will make interesting reading for the civil engineers in the audience. Thankfully, the researchers also released a brief executive summary, which you can see here. As always, all links will be provided in the show notes.

According to the executive summary of the University of Alaska study:

The objective of the study was threefold: (1) Examine the structural response of WTC 7 to fire loads that may have occurred on September 11, 2001; (2) Rule out scenarios that could not have caused the observed collapse; and (3) Identify types of failures and their locations that may have caused the total collapse to occur as observed.

The UAF research team utilized three approaches for examining the structural response of WTC 7 to the conditions that may have occurred on September 11, 2001. First, [they] simulated the local structural response to fire loading that may have occurred below Floor 13, where most of the fires in WTC 7 are reported to have occurred. Second, [they] supplemented [their] own simulation by examining the collapse initiation hypothesis developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

I think this is very important since the official determination, again that a 47-story skyscraper collapsed into it’s own footprint in controlled-demolition style due to office fires, was based on based on computer model simulations. And, the government classified the data that NIST used to make those computer model simulations, ostensibly in the interests of public safety. I’ll let you ponder that one yourselves.

Third, [they] simulated a number of scenarios within the overall structural system in order to determine what types of local failures and their locations may have caused the total collapse to occur as observed.

And the big finish…

The principal conclusion of [their] study is that fire did not cause the collapse of WTC 7 on 9/11, contrary to the conclusions of NIST and private engineering firms that studied the collapse. The secondary conclusion of [their] study is that the collapse of WTC 7 was a global failure involving the near-simultaneous failure of every column in the building.

In other words, this study by a state university is saying that the official explanation for the collapse of WTC 7 is wrong, but that something caused the near-simultaneous failure of every column in the building to bring it down.

Conspiracy?

Now I’m neither an architect nor a civil engineer, but it seems to me that the possibility of “the near-simultaneous failure of every column” in a skyscraper is not something that is likely to occur naturally, even as the result of a cataclysmic event. The chances that all support columns in the steel frame are going to collapse, simultaneously or near simultaneously, due to some random calamity are probably close to impossible.

This study also confirms what seems to be clear when you watch the footage of the collapse of WTC 7.

I ask you, what does that look like to you? If you think it looks like what I think it looks like, then that word, the word we’re not supposed to say, the word that is the merging of the word “cons” and the word “piracy”, that word applies here.

So what is the take away here? Well the take away, I would argue, is that we, indeed, should NEVER FORGET.

  • Never forget that the official story of 9-11, at least as far as the collapse of WTC 7 goes, is questionable at best.
  • Never forget that those who are happy to wave the flag while pointing the cannon at you, are neither friend nor patriot.
  • Never forget that it is your right to question your government and to hold government actors accountable.
